Continental Airlines Nightmare

2 Continental Airlines NightmareWe left Cleveland on Continental Airlines Flight 1645 on December 15. Most of the people were at the airport on time, but the plane took off about two hours late to wait for late passengers to get on. This resulted in a huge portion of the plane missing their connecting flights out of Houston. Since it was so late, most of us had to fly out the next day.

The kicker: Continental wouldn’t give ANYONE a hotel room. Period. They made everyone late, but then compounded the inconvenience by screwing us all out of at least $100 each. Plus shuttle fees. They said it was because of weather-related delays, but the delays were purely discretionary on their part.

This is one of the two videos I made of the entirely disappointing experience. Continental Airlines is not as bad as US Airways, still, but at least US Airways gives their passengers hotel rooms when they make us late.

The first video is one of the women on the plane trying to work with the Continental airline representative. The second video is the toiletry kit that Continental gave to us to make up for not giving us hotel rooms. Hey, the bright side: we all got hair spray. Whoop-tee-do.

  1. To asamtoy, you …
To asamtoy, you should take the video of weather outside.

But, I believe that Continental telling lie to passengers.

Even if you work for an airline, and you think that what you told the passengers were truth, but sometimes it may be your workmate or your boss tell lie to you so that you tell the same thing to the passengers.

  4. “air safety …
“air safety inspectors ran through a laundry list of rules violated, misjudgements made, and warnings ignored.”
Do you consider “RULES VIOLATED, MISJUDGEMENTS MADE, AND WARNINGS IGNORED” acts of GOD?
Now, DUMBFUCK, as for the Concord(e) crash. Do you know that the titanium piece that fell off cuntinentals PIECE OF DC-10 that punctured the tire that caused the crash was ILLEGALLY ATTACHED?

  5. anybody has …
anybody has recorded in my view. Also, compensating for the type of crosswinds experienced in Denver that day would be second nature for an experience pilot, just like riding a bicycle.”
CO 3407, NY Daily News, titled (appropiately):
“Last moments of Continental Flight 3407 full of errors, transcripts reveal.”
    The first two sentences state:
“The tragic chain of pilot errors that doomed Continental Connection Flight 3407 added up to a study in incompetence.”
    “At a public hearing”, …..cont.

ACTS OF GOD? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? WHAT KIND OF DRUGS ARE YOU ON, SON (OTHER THAN cuntinental PROVIDED ANTI-DEPRESSANTS)??
Denver, CO1404, 12/20/08, from a CBS News report, quoting John Nance, former airline captain and aviation safety consultant :
“Winds created by the planes velocity as it gained speed heading North down the runway would have offset the impact of the crosswinds” (31 MPH, gusts 37 MPH) “from the West. It would have taken a mighty burst of wind way, way above anything……cont.

I loved my customers, met some of the coolest people while I worked for them, shook the hand of Former President George H. W. Bush and his wife Barbara when they got off my plane at gate C-31 at IAH. Met lots of cool people upstairs while I was on lunch.

  8. I can, if that …
I can, if that flight was December 15, 2007, then the delay was due to weather in Houston. You may have waited a little extra to grab passengers from another connection, but overall, that delay was blocked in as weather delay, which would be why you were not given hotel. Any time the airline is at fault for the delay, such as waiting for passengers, then they are required by law to give you hotel, at that time, IAH was down to 2 runways while one was under going resurfacing.

  10. The NTSB also found …
The NTSB also found the pilots were within regs and ratings of the aircraft. News agency who has no clue and a tendency to report inaccurate information, or the NTSB? He was low and slow because he was a minute from landing, and see, that requires you get down to AGL 0 and be at less then 140 knots in that aircraft. Low and Slow, and they started recovery bringing the gear up and increasing power, just didn’t have a chance.

  12. You know, what did …
You know, what did they do to you? Seems to me that sure take home alot of awards for being as bad as you say they are, they are almost always top 3 for on time % according to the DOT, they have the highest passenger satisfaction most the time, why are so hateful? That you would dedicate so much time to one airline, maybe you just see an airline lose two planes and think its cool to say how horrible they must be even though they are both acts of god?

  13. Well Spikeokc,

    Well Spikeokc,

Reading on your channel page says about it all. You are a little bias. Perhaps I have had luck, but Continental has always delivered for me. They never lost my luggage, they have always been reasonably on time.

But perhaps I too am a bit biased: When I was married to my first husband who was in the Army. He left Iraq and got stationed in Germany. Continental upgraded me to their business class from coach when they heard that I was going to see my husband who just came back

  14. Have you ever been …
Have you ever been delayed 24 hours to fix overflowing toilets on an emergency stop, then take off again, AFTER A TWENTY FOUR HOUR DELAY TO FIX IT, and, according to news reports and passengers, the toilets begin to spew sewage AGAIN, “immediately after take off” , but they don’t go back, and they fly SEVEN HOURS across the Atlantic, with human feces and urine soaking the passenger cabln?
See youtube video: Continental Airlines-one good reason not to fly them.
    Yeah, good ole cuntinental!

  15. You know…

    I hear …
    You know…

I hear this and that, and I fly with Continental quite often. In fact, I choose to fly with them whenever I can. Have I been delayed, sure…

However, I have also been delayed with Lufthansa and BA. In fact, Lufthansa left me stranded in Frankfurt because they claim that the weather there was bad and they had to cancel the flight to Atlanta. Okay, funny that Delta was departing on time.

So much for “European airlines”, I will stick with good ole Continental.

    Thank You :-)
