This was a flight out of DFW into Houston. Weather was terrible. Flights stacked up on the tarmac waiting to leave forever. Crosswind on the runway near blew me off.. Hope you like. If so rate and subscribe.
A Continental Airlines Boeing 737-900 lands on Runway 26L at George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston after a flight from Boston on August 30, 2010. The video starts to the east of Lake Houston and continues all the way to Gate E3. In the process, you get the grand tour of IAH’s five terminals working around from A with Air Canada Jazz present, to B with a small army of Continental Express ERJ’s, and the north side of Terminal C with United already moved in awaiting the merger. Terminal D follows with a Lufthansa 747-400 still at the gate, while an Air France 777-300ER has just pushed back, and a British Airways 777-200ER sits on the ramp. Turning the corner, it’s the International Arrivals Building and then Terminal E. Of course, there’s plenty of Continental to be seen, with a Star Alliance 777 and a couple 767-400ER’s. Finally we arrive at the gate, and thus ends the video. Hope you enjoy.

Calvin Miller, an equipment operator with the City of Houston, talks about his second job — skycapping at Bush Intercontinental Airport. Because Houston city workers make 21% less than municipal employees in other big Texas and U.S. cities, many of them have second jobs.

I don’t suppose this could make up for having a guys night the night before that required me to miss Amtrak that night, could it? In fact, it was perhaps a great consolation for me because unknown to me until that night was that my girlfriend was to be flown in as a surprise. Due to a delay, she couldn’t make it down until this particular morning.
