Ron Paul’s Flight
The CBS News affiliate in Houston reported a plane with Congressman Ron Paul, Ted Poe, Nick Lampson, John Carter, Ciro Rodriguez, Solomon Ortiz and Henry Cuellar required an emergency landing in New Orleans on its way from Houston, TX to Washington, DC.
Before the rumors start to swirl, we want to get you the information firsthand that Congressman Paul and the other passengers are OK. We talked to Dr. Paul on the phone just a few minutes ago, and he said everything was fine. In fact, he was boarding another flight when we talked to him. From the sounds of it, the news report is overstating the seriousness of the situation. Dr. Paul said the flight was more of an annoyance than anything.
