Wright “B” Flyer Inc. volunteer pilots Rich Stepler and Don Stroud performed a demonstration flight of their “Brown Bird” over Ft. Sam Houston’s MacArthur Parade Ground during the Centennial of Military Aviation event on March 2, 2010. Designed to look like a Wright “B” Flyer that was made of wood, cloth, cables and a Ford Model A engine, the Wright “B” Modified Flyer (seen) is metal framed with a modern Lycoming turbocharged engine and essential instrumentation and communication gear for regular test flights. For this part of the vid on the 102 - Bush IAH Limited, we’re now wrapping up the freeway portion of the route, where I then get off close by the bus garage where this bus is from. The best part here is when you actually see the bus itself as it takes off from where I’m standing. Enjoy!
