IAH Go Around Continental Airlines 737-500 Landing Houston Boeing
Looks like your typical Continental Airlines Boeing 737-500 landing at Houston Intercontinental, BUT it appears we were too high and had to do a go around!!! First time I had to experience that on Continental Airlines. The captain speaks towards the end of the video about the go around. The very next day I had an aborted take-off on a Continental Express Chautauqua flight.

Ahh, for the days of “Papers please!” The TSA is being operated as if it is a rogue agency beyond the accountability of the people. Various “authorities”, “officials”, and “experts” have decided that your body, your most personal space, is now the business of the state. This is an outrage of unprecedented proportion, and our willingness to put up with these intrusions will shape the way our government interacts with us in the future. 
I was waiting for a connecting flight to Vancouver the other day at George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston. It’s not exceptionally remarkable as far as large airports go. But hey, it has a bunch of Texas kitsch, and it’s named after Dubya’s daddy!

Landing in Continental Express ERJ-145XR flight N2078 operated by ExpressJet in Houston-IAH. This flight was from Mexico City and the video was taken from seat 19A. Shortly after landing the flight attendent make a very true statement, “Welcome to the Greatest city in the world”. We also pass by terminal E and see some Continental planes including a B767-400

A Continental Airlines Boeing 737-900 lands on Runway 26L at George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston after a flight from Boston on August 30, 2010. The video starts to the east of Lake Houston and continues all the way to Gate E3. In the process, you get the grand tour of IAH’s five terminals working around from A with Air Canada Jazz present, to B with a small army of Continental Express ERJ’s, and the north side of Terminal C with United already moved in awaiting the merger. Terminal D follows with a Lufthansa 747-400 still at the gate, while an Air France 777-300ER has just pushed back, and a British Airways 777-200ER sits on the ramp. Turning the corner, it’s the International Arrivals Building and then Terminal E. Of course, there’s plenty of Continental to be seen, with a Star Alliance 777 and a couple 767-400ER’s. Finally we arrive at the gate, and thus ends the video. Hope you enjoy.
Fairfax County Board of Supervisors Chairman Sharon Bulova, along with U.S. Rep Gerald E. Connolly, today announced the creation of the Phase II Tax District for rail to Dulles. A majority of landowners in the Western Dulles Corridor agreed to create the special tax district to pay for the construction of rail stations in the Reston and Herndon area. The tax district will provide $330 million in capital funding for the project.
