I had enough of the “Russia won ww2 alone” bullshit. You seem to forget America sent millions of dollars worth of equipment to the Red Army. Soviet soldiers used to say in the field drinking vodka - To Stalin,to motherland, and to Studebaker - an American supplied truck! They showed respect.

You,Go to Normandy and stand in front of all those white crosses and speak your BS

  10. I have no idea who …
I have no idea who you are Mr. Duff but where I come from there is only ONE meaning to the Greatest Generation! Those were the same ones who survived the Great Depression and WWII as well as rebuilt America to make her the greatest economic power ever seen.

So try to tell me what the ‘other meaning’ is and I will still feel the same way over some snot nosed brat re-writing history.

Please make fun of my generation ‘the me’ because they are mostly selfish as we see today — but not this one!

  11. Dear divermike,

    Dear divermike,
Please know that “so-called” has two different meanings, which are somewhat contradictory.
I, of course, meant the original definition, which means “often or commonly called.”
Say what you will about TIME, but I won’t stand being accused of disrespecting these men and women.
    Sincerely ,
    Craig Duff
