We left Cleveland on Continental Airlines Flight 1645 on December 15. Most of the people were at the airport on time, but the plane took off about two hours late to wait for late passengers to get on. This resulted in a huge portion of the plane missing their connecting flights out of Houston. Since it was so late, most of us had to fly out the next day.

The kicker: Continental wouldn’t give ANYONE a hotel room. Period. They made everyone late, but then compounded the inconvenience by screwing us all out of at least $100 each. Plus shuttle fees. They said it was because of weather-related delays, but the delays were purely discretionary on their part.

This is one of the two videos I made of the entirely disappointing experience. Continental Airlines is not as bad as US Airways, still, but at least US Airways gives their passengers hotel rooms when they make us late.

The first video is one of the women on the plane trying to work with the Continental airline representative. The second video is the toiletry kit that Continental gave to us to make up for not giving us hotel rooms. Hey, the bright side: we all got hair spray. Whoop-tee-do.

Ok so this might be a stupid question:
I am trying to book a flight from Houston Tx to Bullhead Arizona but none of the main airlines have a set rout for this destination?

What should I do?
Are there any other possible ways to get there without having to book to different flights?

Only chartered flights for gamblers and a small commuter airline go there. (Laughlin NV.) Sun Country Airlines only goes to a few cities and is mainly for gambling junkets.

The closest airport with major carriers is Las Vegas. Take a bus or rent a car from there.

Look up info about Laughlin NV. You might be able to get there by staying at a casino for the night. You also might be able to get free transportation from Vegas from one of the casinos.

I live in College Station. Is there any other options of shuttles (other than groundshuttle.com) to get to Houston IAH? They are all book for Holidays

Try the Greyhound bus from Bryan to Houston.

Take a cab or alternate transportation from downtown Houston to IAH. Only problem, it seems there is only one bus a day between Bryan and Houston and it leaves Bryan at 5:25 pm.

Does anyone know where the ride share board was moved when the MSC was closed? It used to hang just outside the flag room.

I want to book a flight from Houston, TX IAH to Moscow, Russian Federation DME. And I heard that I can use my British Airways flyer miles on American Airlines and that it would be cheaper. The cost is 65,000 miles through British Airways but I was wondering how many miles it would be for American Airlines. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

While British Airways and American Airlines are partners (both are members of the oneworld alliance), it is not possible to use your British Airways miles to redeem for an American Airlines ticket between the US and Europe. You would need to use British Airways (or another oneworld partner) for the transatlantic portion of the journey.

The first link, which mentions earning and redeeming on American, clearly notes this policy, stating: "British Airways Executive Club members will not earn or redeem miles or earn Tier Points on American Airlines operated transatlantic flights including services to India."

I’d also note that, according to BA’s website, the redemption costs apply no matter which airline is used — the 65,000 miles that you’d have to use to fly BA would be the same as what you’d have to pay to use another partner (or a partner in conjunction with BA), according to the second and third links below. Again, though, because of the restrictions already noted, the partner cannot be American for the transatlantic portion — you could use AA to fly from IAH to another BA gateway, but not from the US to Europe.

EDIT: I’d also note that the other answer given thusfar to this question (i.e. go to aa.com and look up the cost) is misleading and inaccurate, given the context of the question asked. The person asking the question is asking about using BA miles, not AA miles. The costs that show up on aa.com with respect to awards are those for AAdvantage miles, not BA miles. The redemption costs are not interchangable — it’s up to BA to price awards in its own currency, not someone else’s.

Despite the thumbs-down I’ve been given, my original answer stands — the award cannot be booked on a transatlantic AA flight using BA miles, and even if it could, it would cost the same 65,000 miles as the BA-metal award.
